Milka challenged production norms with this provocative campaign.
The concept was to bring together four pairs of people with a shared interest, but from two different generations. The topics
ranged from dance, music, food and sports.
At the core of this idea was an honest interaction between each pairing of generations. An unscripted exchange.
We were brought on to accentuate their stories at key moments in the film through animation. To highlight
the generational difference between the pairs, two different art directions were chosen. The older generation's flashbacks would
be shown in a photocollage style and the younger generation with a more modern, illustrative look.
Because these exchanges were unscripted, we had no idea what we were going to animate until the edits had been approved.
This meant sticking to a tight schedule and efficient workflow, with all 4 films being produced in parallel.
